Study on flow field characteristics of undulating member bar in engineering

Aiming at the undulating member bar, three kinds of wavelength models are established. The flow characteristics bar with space angle attack analyzed by large eddy simulation method under high Reynolds number, its velocity and pressure distribution different wavelengths studied, time frequency domain circumferential coefficient, resistance lift discussed. results suggest that greater fluctuation outer surface wave member, difference between maximum minimum cross-sections; inclination, change in pressure. While smaller wavelength, larger amplitude rod coefficient range main peak; slower attenuation rate peak coefficient. Combined field, when incoming has a attack, cylinder can achieve better effect drag reduction vibration reduction. Finally, research provide important significance value for application bar.
